Nearby Lot For Sale

I did a search on properties for sale on the street we're building on, to my surprise there was one listed! This is good for two reasons. Number one, if/when it sells that means another brand new house will be built, encouraging others to build, and making our street more appealing. Second, whether its our doing or not, they think the lot (same size as ours) is worth $38,900. Thats almost twice what we paid for ours, four spaces over. WOW! Either we got in on the cheap or they think theres gold in them thar sandhills. Im curious how the Walmart being built less than two miles away has affected this price increase. And whether the owners know we are building a house so close. I say bring it on, develop the crap outta Culpepper Ave. There are only two houses out of the available 20 spaces currently on our street. The rest is woods. That means anything going in will be new builds.

Projected Finish Mid-Summer

Ok so i've been lazy lately. I was in Renar's main office over a week ago and didnt post but who cares. Whats important is that I asked the ladies in there what they thought the progress seemed like. One lady said average, one said better than average. Their estimation was this. Its gonna be the end of the year before they break ground. At that time they will prepare the lot for building the house, and during that Jan-Feb period they will get the building permit. Say end of February they start building the house. The ruler they currently use is 120days to build a house. That puts us into Juneish. Yes Juneish. Thats all I have, till next time........
