Rest in Pieces

I was looking at the photos and realized something. I tagged a tree in the lot with orange (blaze orange) ribbon to be saved from the bulldozer. Seems he was colorblind because its not there anymore. I think it might have been a small oak but we'll never know. Probly mulch by now....

Picture of the dirt foundation, just to the right they were dropping off the port-o-potty. So we have a bathroom now. Posted by Hello

Met with Builder, and GROUND BROKEN!

We met with the builder and verified all locations for outlets, cable hookup, extras purchased like the fridge, programmable thermostat, spa prewire (he he). Just final approval before stuff starts. And we know its gonna start soon, cause they broke ground we are guessing Monday. Ill post a pic as soon as I can of the first step. Just looks like a tilled garden really.

Isa and I went to see the house in Port St. Lucie that is the same as the one we are building. Note: Those are not our colors

Future Neighbor

A quick note, the lot next to us has gone up for sale, awesome news again. Also, the lot down the road I mentioned for sale is not in the listings anymore, must have sold. And the crappy house nearby has had a clean yard and not too many rugrats running around outside so things are looking up!

Our permit to build has been issued

Renar called me today to let me know the city had issued a permit to build our house. We meet with the superintendent (head construction guy for Renar) to finalize plans, such as where ceiling fans go, light switches, etc. on the 19th of April. After that they can break ground very soon. Ill learn a lot during the visit the 19th so Ill post more then. We found out there is a house like ours finished in Port St Lucie FL about an hour away, so we'll have to mull that trip over, I think we'll find it worth going to actually see our house in the flesh.
