Home equity loans

Just a quick note on home equity loans. These are loans that you get to borrow money like a regular loan but the bank goes off the amount of equity or amount youve paid off on your house mortgage for the collateral. Anyway, we will have some equity upon moving into the house just from the normal appreciation a year of waiting will do. There is a special clause I found out today after talking to Wachovia, for newly built homes. A "12 month seasoning" is needed before any money can be borrowed against the new house. Sucks. So we'll wait the year and do it then I guess.

Well dug

They dug the well Tues. The super finally was able to contact me after some confusion. He had our landline phone number which we used for dial-up internet (we just got dsl by the way), and couldnt get through for a few weeks. He said they are gonna try to put up the rafters on Friday. WOohoo!

Block up

What a difference a few days makes. We drove over yesterday when it was just the slab and blocks laying out, went out to take a picture of that stage and this afternoon they created the walls of the house already. I called my stepbrother Rick and let him know where we were because he should be doing the framing of the house (inside walls, etc.) Not sure when thatll be started since its a different crew but this is something to look at for a couple days or weeks. I havent mentioned, the house down the road that Isa and I didnt like because of the nasty family there, is gone because the house caught on fire and is no longer liveable. I heard nothing of people getting hurt, so we can be glad about it in our own sick way. Those of you out there that saw this place know that we are relieved. Thats all Ill say about that.
