Home equity loans

Just a quick note on home equity loans. These are loans that you get to borrow money like a regular loan but the bank goes off the amount of equity or amount youve paid off on your house mortgage for the collateral. Anyway, we will have some equity upon moving into the house just from the normal appreciation a year of waiting will do. There is a special clause I found out today after talking to Wachovia, for newly built homes. A "12 month seasoning" is needed before any money can be borrowed against the new house. Sucks. So we'll wait the year and do it then I guess.
